Dr. Munir is the founding Director of Intelligent Systems, Computer Architecture, Analytics, and Security (ISCAAS) Laboratory. The ISCAAS lab undertakes cutting edge research projects related to embedded and cyber-physical systems, secure and trustworthy systems, intelligent systems, parallel computing, edge computing, artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, quantum computing, and quantum machine learning. The research projects in the ISCAAS lab target practical applications. The ISCAAS mission is to produce excellent researchers and successful professionals for both academia and industry. The projects in ISCAAS lab have been sponsored by various funding agencies including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)/National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), National Science Foundation (NSF), Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC).
